Q: How long does the battery last?
A: The performance time of most standard batteries is affected by the heat setting it is operating on and ranges from 2.5 hours (highest setting) to 10 hours (lowest setting) on a single full charge. For detailed information on the battery performance for specific brands and extended life batteries, please refer to the product page for more details.
Q: How do I know that the battery is charging?
A: When the battery is plugged into the charger the light on the charger will be red indicating that the battery is charging. Also, the lights on the battery itself will flash from the current charge level to 100% in a continuous cycle until it is fully charged. Once the battery has received a full charge all four charge indicator lights on the battery will remain lit and the light on the charger will turn green.
Q: How can I tell how much power is left in the battery?
A: Most batteries are similar in this procedure. While the battery is off and disconnected, press and release the power button briefly and the indicator lights will turn on momentarily indicating the percentage of remaining charge.
Q: Can the batteries be connected to the charger for too long?
A: With most brands both the battery and charger have overcharge protection, but we do recommend that the battery be unplugged after fully charging.
Q: Why won't the battery stay on when connected to the product?
A: First ensure that the battery is fully charged. Next make sure that you press and hold the power button for three to five seconds until the battery beeps and only one indicator light stays on. If the battery still turns off after it has turned on or it doesn't turn on at all, the connection to the battery may be loose or it could have an issue with the wiring.
