Rechargeable batteries usually come with a partial charge. We recommend you fully charge whatever battery you have before the first use. If you think your battery is not charging fully, completely discharge the battery and then charge it back up again.
Gerbing 7V Battery

This is the most popular battery from Gerbing and powers most of the gloves, vests, jackets, and socks.
How To Charge
Plug the charger into the wall. The LED light(s) on the charger should illuminate green. When the battery is connected to the charger the light changes to red. When the battery is fully charged, the LED light on the charger will turn green or flicker between red and green.
Please note: Some generations of batteries and chargers are not compatible and will not indicate if the battery is fully charged or is charging. If the LED light(s) on the charger does not change, then please allow 4 hours for a full charge. The lights on the battery may not turn on during charging.
How To Use
Plug the battery into the heated garment. Hold down the button on the battery for at least 3 seconds to turn the battery on. Once on, you can then hold down the battery to cycle through the different heat settings and to turn it off.
The battery will not turn on unless plugged into the garment. You can, however, find out how much power is left in the battery by holding down the button when not plugged into a garment.

Works with the vests, jackets, and the hunting blind pad. This extended life battery is not compatible with the gloves.
How To Charge

How To Use
Plug the battery into the heated item. Hold down the power on button on the battery for at least 2 seconds to turn the battery on. Once on, you can then press the up and down buttons to cycle through the 3 heating options. Hold down the power off button to turn the battery off.
The battery will not turn on unless plugged into the heated item. You can, however, find out how much power is left in the battery by holding down either button. The battery power level is adjustable from 1-9.

How to program a new remote with battery
With the battery unconnected to the item or to the charger, push the ON and OFF button on the battery at the same time. The battery LED reads "A" (means "address" searching). Then push the OFF button on the remote, the flashing A in LED display will be OFF.
To test that the battery and the remote are synched, push the remote button OFF within 60 seconds after synch procedure. The LED display on the battery should read "F" (means "find or found"). You can also connect the battery to the item and turn the battery on, then use the remote to control the battery to check that the remote is synched.
